Annual Day Before Thanksgiving Brewnight 11/25/09

Craft Beer in Atlanta

The craft beer movement in Atlanta is ever-growing. There is a new collaboration brew from Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada that just arrived on the shelves of Hop City in Atlanta. This special beer is called Life and Limb. This special brew is a dedicated release to supporters of the craft beer movement all over, especially Atlanta. It was born out of a friendship between to great breweries. I’d also like to thank everyone that was able to make it out to our brew night tonight! We were able to reduce our surplus which means we will resume brewing the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. If you couldn’t make it out tonight, I highly recommend you come out next Wednesday!

 

Who Turned Out The Lights?!

It’s 5:45 and it’s dark outside!! Fortunately Jamie and I were able to enjoy the little daylight we got this weekend. I was at a wedding in North Carolina, congrats Bill and Erin, and Jamie made his way down to Atlanta for the Chomp and Stomp Festival chili cookoff in Cabbage Town. I hope everyone was also able to enjoy the great weather we had, and more importantly try some new brews! Speaking of brews, we ARE brewing this upcoming Wednesday! Dun, Dun, Dun! I know that may be shocking to some of you considering we haven’t brewed in a month, but we hope to see everyone’s smiling faces on brew night so we can share our brews with you!

Wednesday 10/7: Rye Not?

It’s definitely been an interesting beginning to our brewing season already! We have had more weird circumstances, mostly outside of brewing thankfully, to date than we normally do for several months at a time. It seems, however, the figurative clouds are lifting (it better cause I’m running out of dry shoes) and we’ll be full- force into brewage!

We have planned for this coming Wednesday a brew night AND- wait for it… wait for it… beer tasting!!! That’s right. We’ve stocked our coffers with enough golden brew to finally supply a tasting. We will be concocting once again the Rye Pale Ale which has proven to be a pleasantly balanced and a delightfully drinkable American Pale.

Please come by the brew lab anytime after 7 or so and kick it with us for a bit. You’ll get to see the homebrewing process and enjoy the reward of much hard work that goes into it. Don’t hesitate to email or call with questions or directions. Cheers!

Brewing / Tasting for tomorrow is off! Due to the recent floods, our brew lab was submerged for a brief period of time. No need to worry though, the beer is fine. We resume normal operating hours once the sun comes back..
